Even more concerning is that a firmware update cannot fix a seed that was generated with a flaw. If the key was weak from the start, the update only protects wallets created subsequently. In my view, following this incident, the community will focus not only on which cold wallet to use but also on how that wallet generates its seed phrases. In the world of Bitcoin, security is not just about the device itself; it begins the very moment the private key is created.
