Nobody's talking about it yet, but this week's token-unlock calendar is one of the heaviest of the year, and it's landing right as market liquidity is quietly consolidating into fewer venues. YZY is set to release roughly 23% of its circulating supply, the largest relative unlock this week, alongside sizable releases for $AVAX, $APT, and Pump.fun. Normally, unlocks like this cause temporary sell pressure and fade. But this time they're colliding with a structural shift: $HYPE's Hyperliquid now holds close to $10.7 billion in open interest, far ahead of rivals like Aster and Lighter, meaning derivatives activity is concentrating rather than spreading out. That combination matters. Thinner, more concentrated liquidity amplifies moves in both directions, so unlock-driven selling could hit harder than usual. Meanwhile, large caps look insulated for now, with $BTC and $ETH still absorbing steady ETF inflows, and $SOL, $SUI, $TAO, $LINK, $ONDO, and $XRP trading mostly on their own narratives rather than unlock supply. The risk sits with lower-cap tokens facing vesting unlocks in thin markets. The opportunity is in watching how liquidity providers respond. Is supply-side pressure from unlocks being underestimated compared to macro catalysts this week?
