Lido's dump seemed odd to me, so I took a deeper look into what was going on. Here's the likely reason:
$LDO is selling off because of concerns around Ethereum's EIP-8361 proposal.
The proposal would reduce staking rewards as ETH staking increases.
At 50% network staking, issuance rewards would effectively fall to zero.
Even today, staking yields could be cut from about 2.6% to 1.2% if fully implemented.
That would make liquid staking tokens like stETH less attractive.
Lido could see slower TVL growth and lower protocol revenue.
