🚨 STRATEGY IS SELLING $BTC — A NOTABLE SHIFT IN ITS TREASURY APPROACH Strategy reportedly sold 1,690 Bitcoin for approximately $108.6M and used the proceeds to repurchase the same amount of its $STRC preferred stock. The bigger story is the change in strategy. The company has now sold roughly $432M worth of Bitcoin during 2026 and has gone seven consecutive weeks without adding to its BTC position. Instead, Strategy appears to be prioritizing the buildup of a USD reserve. The company still holds a massive 840,447 $BTC position, although its reported unrealized loss stands at around $8.73B. For a company historically known for aggressive Bitcoin accumulation, this pause—and now direct selling—deserves attention. It doesn’t necessarily mean Strategy has abandoned its long-term Bitcoin thesis. It does show that capital management and liquidity requirements are currently taking priority over adding more BTC. The key question is whether this is a temporary adjustment or the beginning of a broader change in Strategy’s Bitcoin strategy.
