Looking at how the two exchanges set minimum deposit limits for $PI , we can clearly see two completely opposite operating philosophies: ➢ Kraken: "Want to bring PI here? It has to be at least 20 PI." 🔒 ➢ OKX: "However much you have, that's fine, even if it's just 0.00000001 PI." 🌊 This difference shows that Kraken is controlling the inflow of PI into its system more tightly, while OKX has chosen the direction of expanding its customer funnel. 1️⃣ Kraken and the operational optimization problem When setting a minimum threshold of 20 PI, Kraken's biggest goal is to avoid having to process a massive number of extremely small transactions that burden the system: ➢ If 100,000 people each deposit 0.001 PI, the exchange would have to bear a huge volume of scattered, hard-to-manage small amounts. ➢ On the other hand, with a standard of 20 PI or more, the number of junk accounts or "transaction dust" drops significantly, keeping the fund flow in the system clean and much easier to control. 2️⃣ OKX and the strategy of lowering friction to attract liquidity 💧 In contrast to Kraken's strictness, OKX opens its doors wide to welcome every source of assets thanks to 3 core benefits: ➢ User-friendly: Whether you have 1 PI, 0.1 PI, or just a few thousandths of a PI, you can freely transfer it to the exchange without any barriers. ➢ Attracting large-scale PI flow: The fewer strict conditions there are, the more people bring their assets onto the exchange. ➢ Retaining assets within the ecosystem: Once PI is sitting in the exchange wallet, that flow of money will stay and circulate within their system. 3️⃣ The economic leverage behind the micro deposit threshold ⚡ OKX's strategy goes far beyond the ordinary trading-fee-collection problem. By minimizing the barrier at the deposit gate as much as possible, they pull in a huge number of users and assets to step into the platform. #
