🚨 September 15 could be the make-or-break date for the CLARITY Act—and I’m not convinced it gets through. Patrick Witt, Executive Director of the White House Crypto Committee, reportedly warned that if the CLARITY Act doesn’t move forward by September 15, its chances of becoming law could collapse. And honestly? I’m starting to think a delay is more likely than a breakthrough. The biggest roadblock appears to be the ethical concerns surrounding the Trump family’s crypto interests, including $WLFI, $USD1, and $TRUMP. Until lawmakers find a way through that conflict, the bill remains stuck. For $BTC, though, I don’t see this as a reason to panic. It’s more of a missing catalyst than a bearish fundamental shift. Without CLARITY, regulated institutions may remain on the sidelines longer. That could keep Bitcoin grinding sideways, testing everyone’s patience, and potentially creating another opportunity for buyers if the market gets shaken out. Meanwhile, altcoins have an even bigger problem. They rely far more heavily on regulatory clarity and narrative-driven liquidity than $BTC does. Bitcoin’s bigger picture hasn’t suddenly changed. Institutional demand, stablecoin growth, and the broader adoption cycle are still there. So for me, the question isn’t: “Will CLARITY destroy Bitcoin?” It’s: “How long will the market have to wait for the catalyst everyone is already pricing in?” My current bet? Delay. If September 15 passes without meaningful progress, I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole thing gets pushed further down the road—possibly into 2027. The politicians can keep arguing.
