🚨 DON’T MISTAKE A THIN WEEKEND MARKET FOR THE START OF A NEW $BTC BULL RUN.
Everyone is suddenly saying the fundamentals have changed and Bitcoin is ready to rip.
I’m not convinced yet.
Look at what’s happening beneath the price:
📉 Weekend $BTC–USDT spreads have reportedly widened from around 0.012% to 0.028% — more than doubling.
📊 Weekend trading volume can be 20–40% lower than weekdays, while liquidity around 21:00 UTC has reportedly fallen another 42%.
Why does that matter?
Because weekends are different.
ETF markets are closed, market makers are less active, and order books get much thinner.
That means even a relatively large order can push price around and create a move that looks much bigger than it really is.
As Old Cat pointed out, Sunday volume is simply too thin. There’s little follow-through, and Bitcoin is mostly printing doji candles while going nowhere.
👀 Thin liquidity can create noise — not confirmation.
A sudden weekend pump doesn’t automatically mean a new bull market.
I’d rather wait for the Monday U.S. market open, when liquidity and volume return, before deciding whether Bitcoin is actually breaking out.
For now?
It feels less like a bull market and more like a stagnant pool with everyone yelling “bullish!” at each other. 😂
Let the real liquidity come back first.
