"AI Trading Lab | AI Trading Lab" — Hermes · AI Agent · Automation · Trading System
This tweet records my process of building the "Monster Coin Hunter" with Hermes + DeepSeek: handing over market monitoring to the system. I welcome all friends to give advice!
From 625 coins to carefully selecting 1 target coin, I built an automated altcoin screening system.
Anyone trading altcoins has a pain point: opportunities are fleeting, but human resources are limited.
Hundreds of coins rise and fall daily; relying on the naked eye to monitor the market is exhausting and easy to miss opportunities. More importantly, monster coins (especially altcoins) move fast and fade fast; often the opportunity is hidden in one or two key breakout candlesticks.
So, I used the Hermes AI agent + DeepSeek to build an automated altcoin screening subsystem, turning my years of accumulated "monster coin trading system" methodology into a replicable semi-automated process.
Today, it delivered its first results.
Background: Why this system exists
The hardest part of monster coin trading is not "judgment" but "monitoring every possible opportunity."
Experienced traders know that real monster coin rallies often start with a long, dull sideways consolidation: the coin price shrinks volume at the bottom for dozens of days, chips fully rotate, then suddenly breaks out with volume on a certain day, starting the main uptrend.
But the problem is: Binance Futures has over 600 trading pairs. You can't watch every coin daily with your eyes to find "which is at the critical point of the end of consolidation."
This pain point is the starting point for building this system.
I reviewed many successful cases and learned from many mistakes, developing a signal logic to identify "volume breakout from consolidation structures." But I realized that methodology alone is not enough; tools are needed to implement it. So I used Hermes for automatic scanning + DeepSeek for analysis and reasoning to make this methodology into an automated subsystem.
Today's results: 625 → 5 → 1
The system automatically scans the Binance Futures market, using a signal system refined through long-term practice, completing three layers of filtering among 625 trading pairs:
First layer: Candidate locking — hits coins with "consolidation + volume breakout" signal structure
Second layer: Overheat removal — automatically filters out coins that have risen for many days and missed the entry window
Third layer: Comprehensive scoring — scores candidates from multiple dimensions to select the best
Finally, from 625 coins, it locked 5 coins with "volume breakout consolidation structure":
(1) ZBT, today's increase: +48%, breakout feature: strong volume, consolidation period: 59 days;
(2) TAKE, today's increase: +80%, breakout feature: significant volume, consolidation period: 33 days;
(3) CTSI, today's increase: +42%, breakout feature: large volume, consolidation period: 63 days;
(4) COOKIE, today's increase: +26%, breakout feature: volume, consolidation period: 57 days;
(5) STG, today's increase: +29%, breakout feature: moderate volume, consolidation period: 24 days.
This is not a black box. Every selected coin is backed by the complete logic of "consolidation → volume breakout → structure confirmation."
The system does not chase highs or hot coins; it specifically captures early-stage opportunities.
How does the system operate?
The core of this subsystem is coding trading discipline:
① Automatic scanning
Periodically fetches Binance Futures market data; hundreds of coins scanned in seconds without manual monitoring.
② Intelligent filtering
Hits the "consolidation + volume breakout" signal structure, automatically locking in: this is the core logic repeatedly verified and refined.
③ Temperature filtering
Automatically removes coins that have overheated from consecutive rises and missed the best entry window, avoiding "chasing highs while watching the excitement."
④ Multi-dimensional scoring
Evaluates candidates comprehensively from volume, candlestick quality, consolidation structure, entry timing, bullish/bearish atmosphere, etc., further narrowing candidates.
Finally, only truly worthy targets are pushed out.
Today's final lock: ZBT
In the multi-dimensional scoring system, ZBT performed best overall:
- Sufficient volume: volume significantly expanded compared to previous periods; breakout supported by real buying, not a low-volume fake breakout
- Strong candlestick pattern: full-bodied, almost no upper shadow, no suspicion of a bull trap
- Favorable chip fundamentals: healthy bullish/bearish atmosphere, potential for short squeeze
- 59 days consolidation: mid-term full rotation, relatively clean space above
It became today's system's top observation target.
COOKIE, tied in score, was treated cautiously due to crowded bullish reference indicators: the system has no shortage of candidates, but the question is whether to trust them.
Why build this system?
1. Hand over "market monitoring" to machines
Scanning and initial screening of hundreds of coins is done by the system in seconds, not relying on eyes or feelings. The freed-up energy can be invested in more important judgment stages.
2. Use discipline to fight emotion
Screening criteria are pre-coded to avoid chasing highs and panic selling during market fluctuations. The biggest fear in monster coin trading is being led by market sentiment.
3. Accumulate cognitive assets
Every review, every success and failure case feeds data into the system. The methodology is encapsulated into code, no longer scattered experience.
4. More use, more accuracy
Every practical result feeds back to the system, calibrating signals and weights, continuously evolving rather than a one-time fix.
To be verified: the system's first step
I clearly know that a trading system is not designed but "rolled out."
The actual performance of today's selected ZBT will be the first test of this subsystem's effectiveness.
If it performs as expected → scoring logic direction is correct
If it underperforms → there are still blind spots to adjust
This is not boasting about a "precise system" but recording a replicable evolution path.
Monster coin trading is essentially a game between humans and the market.
I choose to arm myself systematically, turning occasional success into reproducible ability.
Ongoing practical verification and continuous review will follow.
