🇺🇸 U.S. 30-Year Treasury Yields Are Flashing a Major Warning
The 30Y Treasury yield has climbed to 5.24%, reaching levels not seen since 2007.
The last major surge in long-term yields was brutal for risk assets. Between August 2021 and October 2022, the 30Y yield jumped from roughly 1.45% to 3.90%.
During that same period, Bitcoin collapsed about 76%, falling from around $67,000 to $16,256.
Now the macro backdrop is heating up again.
📉 BTC is already roughly 49% below its $126K ATH
💰 Current price: around $64K
🇺🇸 30Y yield: 5.24%
History doesn’t guarantee a repeat, but the relationship is worth watching closely.
Higher long-term yields can put pressure on risk assets by tightening financial conditions and reducing the appeal of speculative positions.
⚠️ The key question now:
Is Bitcoin preparing for another major macro-driven sell-off, or will this cycle break the historical pattern?
