Just now, the "post-00s legend" Vida posted two sell put trades in the community.
"- I originally intended to buy $3 million worth of MU at 560, so I sold $1.5 million worth of MU puts
- I originally intended to buy $5 million worth of NVDA at 130, so I will sell $2 million worth of NVDA puts"
The exercise dates for both trades are in early 2027, which to some extent also reveals Vida's outlook on the semiconductor and AI markets: a volatile downward trend in the second half of the year, possibly touching 560 and 130.
Currently, using sell put to "buy at a discount and collect rent" is a relatively suitable strategy.
