BIP-110 isn't expiring, it's getting buried economically. Bitcoin leads block production 85-2, and each dominant-chain block raises the cumulative-work hurdle. That's modestly positive for BTC, but without mature coinbase rewards or replay protection, the fork is still an experiment.
